The Post Custodial Support Program (PCS) aims to deliver specialist alcohol and other drug (AOD) services for people exiting custody who are at risk of AOD related harm from illicit drug and alcohol use. The PCS program aims to increase access to holistic, culturally safe, trauma informed AOD treatment and support in regional and remote areas.
Selection Criteria: Please address ALL points to be eligible
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, science, social, education, behavioral sciences or equivalent.
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary methods of drug and alcohol client service delivery.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide written reports, intake and comprehensive assessment, and holistic case management.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, autonomously and follow direction.
- Demonstrated organisational, excellent time management and strong interpersonal skills including risk identification and response.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including written correspondence.
- Experience working with multicultural, Aboriginal and CALD communities with strong cultural awareness, empathy and understanding of a wide and diverse community.
- Sound computer knowledge and software program skills.
- Unrestricted current driver’s license.
- Understanding of and commitment to Equity, Workplace Health and Safety and Quality Improvement.
Desirable:
- Experience facilitating groups.
- Experience or exposure to community corrections and/or Justice Health processes.
- Experience working in a variety of health and welfare settings.
