Remuneration: $33.97 – $53.41 dependent on qualifications
Hours Per Week: 24 hours per week

Yamba Community Health is seeking a Mental Health Professional to join the Getting On Track In Time (Got It!) is a school based mental health early intervention service for children in years Kindergarten to Year 2 who display disruptive behaviours and emerging conduct disorders.  Working with children, parents, carers and school staff and aims to prevent mental illness and behavioural disorders in later life and improve educational outcomes.

If you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications and where applicable, a member of relevant associations or registration with the relevant board, in the following disciplines: Social Work, Occupational Therapist, Psychology, Nursing. Professionals who fall under the Health Professionals State Award will be employed at Level 1 or must provide evidence of three years’ clinical experience in their profession to be appointed at a Level 2
  • High level of interpersonal skills and commitment to working closely with other members of a multidisciplinary team and ability to work under minimal direct professional supervision
  • Clinical skills and experience in the assessment and treatment of children and their families presenting with complex mental health needs, using evidence based approaches
  • Experience and skill in developing, implementing and evaluating programs including clinical groups
