JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Case Coordinator in our CCS, you will have a team of Contact Support Workers reporting into you and will lead the weekend shifts, providing separated parents opportunities to spend time with their children in a safe, supervised environment. You will prepare written observational reports regarding supervised visits and changeovers and prepare written Family Law Court reports as requested by the Family Court of WA or Independent Children’s Lawyers.

You will respond to queries from potential users of the service and provide intake and assessment. Working with both adults and children, you will provide case management support to families to ensure that they receive appropriate service, progression, and referrals as required.  

This is a part time, 0.67 FTE (50 hours per fortnight), permanent opportunity. The successful candidate must be available to work every second Saturday and Sunday. During the week, you will be located at our Joondalup office. The weekend CCS will be located in Clarkson. 

What you will bring

You are a passionate and talented individual who is driven to deliver a high-quality children’s contact service.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences/Psychology/Social Work or related discipline or Diploma in Children’s Contact Service Work
  • Experience in working with adults and children from separated families
  • Ability to assess families for intake
  • Interpersonal skills including ability to gain cooperation from others; resolve conflict
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of child development, parenting and attachment
  • Demonstrated understanding of domestic violence and child abuse dynamics

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check, a Provide First Aid Certificate and a WA Driver’s Licence. 

 Benefits

  • $92,615 – $96,816 salary range per annum pro rata + 10.5% superannuation
  • Weekend penalty rates
  • In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount.
  • Additional 3 days (pro-rata) leave per year and ability to purchase additional leave
