What you’ll do 

  • Implement the Family and Domestic Violence Local Link Coordination and Primary Care Training Program in liaison with the Primary Health Network
  • Proactively engage with general practices, supporting the delivery of Recognise, Respond and Refer training to enable safe disclosures of DFV and meaningful referrals
  • Provide support, advice and referral service for general practices to provide a timely and efficient pathway into the DFV service sector
  • Identify the needs to ensure GP Practices in the Blue Mountains and Lithgow areas are well supported in all aspects of DFV
  • Manage data and provide reporting as required, and contribute to the pilot

The details:

  • 3 days a week
  • Based in Penrith with frequent travel in the Blue Mountains & Lithgow region
  • Potential to work from home at times in line with business needs
  • Contract to 30/6/26

  • Valid NSW Class C driver’s licence and own comprehensively insured motor vehicle
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal hours on occasion

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in community development, social work, social welfare, health promotion or similar field, supported by relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge and skills in working with DFV
  • Skills and experience in health promotion and capacity building activities including providing incidental or informal training in how to use a DVSAT, patient safety planning etc.
  • Knowledge of the local service system and ability to facilitate effective referrals
  • Proven experience establishing and maintaining effective partnerships and working collaboratively with other organisations
