Therapy Assistant or Lead Practitioner – ND Affirming The Experience Collectors

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you DYNAMIC, FUN, HAVE ENERGY and don’t want to boss children around?
Then keep on reading.

We are looking for people who:

  • are neurodivergent affirming, which means you accept Autism and ADHD as a different neurotype,
  • don’t use coercian or compliance-based methods such as ABA and
  • want to work in a way that improves life for Autists and ADHD’ers.

We are looking for both Therapy Assistants and Lead Practitioners to help us provide neurodivergent, safe, fun therapies to children who are Autistic and ADHD.

Still with us? Please read on:

If you can tell that the way:

  • behaviour is managed in the school system is NOT WORKING and you want to learn the other way of responding to children, and
  • that helps settle their nervous system and encourage them to feel that the person they are is the person they are meant to be,

then you might be JUST WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 🙂

About us:

  • We have clubhouses in Pimpama, Bellbird Park, and North Lakes.
  • Most of our team are also neurodivergent ourselves and we love to celebrate our authenticity.
  • Our work opportunities are diverse, our clubhouses are fun, and we are connected to two other companies which also offer many of our team other work opportunities as well, including:
    • report writing,
    • peer-based mentoring,
    • short-term accommodation, and
    • neuroscience-based (non ABA) behaviour practitioner work.
  • Therapy sessions go from 2-5 hours from Monday – Sunday, so lots of diverse options are available.

Our rates:

  • Therapy Assistants are paid $60 per hour
  • Lead Practitioners are paid $100 per hour
  • This is a true Contractor opportunity. This means you MUST have an ABN and be willing to work as a Contractor.
  • Blue Cards are Mandatory but can be applied for upon successful application.

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications are not mandatory. We provide excessive training.

We want people who want to have fun, listen to children, respect our little Autist and ADHD’ers authenticity and accept them for who they are. We want to paint faces, jump on trampolines, engage in as many dopamine-rich, interest-based opportunities as we can….

We are The Experience Collectors (TEC). Find us on FB or the web to find out more….   ARE WE WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR?

Neurodivergent applicants are ENCOURAGED to apply…..  (Sorry about caps, we are an excitable bunch).. 😉
