About the Position

The Case Manager is responsible for recruiting Specialist Foster Carers and providing case management and support for Specialist Foster Carers in accordance with program requirements. 

The Specialist Foster Care Program utilises frameworks and approaches to educate carers on interacting with traumatized children.

This is a Part Time role working 22.8 hours per week, based in Port Lincoln, South Australia.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A passion and genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of children
• A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or Certificate IV in Community Services Work. A Degree in Social Work or an equivalent degree in Human Services is desirable. 
•  Experience in working with families and developing, implementing and managing case plans and case files with the social service field.
• Experience in organising, facilitating and delivering community events and training.
• Demonstrated ability to assess individuals and a family’s capacity to provide quality care and develop intervention strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to quickly build rapport and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders
• Effective time management and organisational skills

Requirements of the role:

• Hold (or willingness to obtain) a current DHS Working With Children Check – don’t worry, we can support this process if necessary!
• Hold (or a willingness to obtain) a National Criminal History Record Check (Police Check) 
• Hold a current South Australian Driver’s License (minimum Provisional License) 
• Be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 (minimum of two doses) – evidence will be required prior to appointment
