JOB DESCRIPTION

360 Health + Community is a person-centred health service providing care and support to people when, where and how they need it most.  Our teams deliver programs across Western Australia to help body and mind including mental health for young people at headspace Mandurah.  Our vibrant team is currently in an exciting growth phase and we invite you to join our journey as we continue to facilitate excellence in integrated holistic healthcare and support for young people. 

The Access Clinician will effectively engage, screen, assess, refer, provide brief interventions and coordinate care for young people aged 12-25 years that contact or are referred to headspace Mandurah. As one of the first contact points for young people accessing headspace Mandurah, the Access Clinician builds a positive rapport with a wide range of young people, as well as their family and friends.

The role involves assessing a young person’s needs, including complex risk assessments and the ability to action a plan to mitigate any identified risk. The Clinician participates in regular clinical supervision, and presents and discusses Young People’s status and progress with the clinical care team.

To be successful in joining our team, you will need:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Counselling or other relevant field
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Certificate less than 6 months old (or be willing to apply)
  • Ideally, experience working with youth mental health, LGBTQIA+ identifying people, First Nations people, or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people

  • Hourly rate between $35.42 and $39.63 depending on skills and experience (annual full time equivalent $69,989 to $78,308)
