About the business: We launch kids pOTential! 

Kool KATTS (Kids And Teens Therapy Service) is a Paediatric Allied Health clinic operating in Parramatta and the surrounding areas from 2017. We opened an amazing purpose build Sensory/DIR Floortime clinic in June 2023 and we’re on the hunt for a bunch of fun and energetic therapist to join our growing team. 

We are an exciting business that provides Early Intervention services to children with Autism, ADHD and Developmental Delays with a main focus on  DIR Floortime and we also take a Sensory Integrative approach will all our kids up to the teen years. We have a special interest in Neurodivergent presentations supporting children with ADHD and ASD in a neuroaffirming way. 

 

About the Clinic
Our Clinic provides a creative, fun, innovate and inclusive environment that supports parents and children with developmental challenges. The importance of parent-child attachment is nurtured through coaching parents, along with direct play with the children. We are passionate about changing lives!

We are a close knit team of 15 multidisciplinary clinicians and support staff. We have a strong  focus is on well being, mental health and work/life balance. You absolutely will have time to finish all your documentation within working hours! At Kool Katts, you’re not just a number but one of the family.

Major Duties

  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to team work is essential as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with families, children and team members
  • Contribute to the development of your education and knowledge, and implementation of the DIR Floortime and Sensory Integration principles
  • Embed the Kool KATTS philosophy into daily practice so each parent is empowered to interact with their child through play
  • Promote excellence and cater for the needs of children and parents to be both challenged and supported
  • Develop play opportunities that are inclusive and engaging for each child so that individual goals and outcomes are achieved
  • Participate in individual clinic based sessions, school based intervention, parent coaching and peer group intervention sessions 
  • Be passionate about professional development and have a drive to always learn more about the important work we do!

 

Skills and experience

Experience Requirements:

  • Completion of, or soon to complete a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy 
  • Experienced clinicians and new graduates are welcome to apply

Other requirements:

  • Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis Training
  • Experience working with children with Autism is a bonus
  • High energy, willingness to continually learn, and LOVE HAVING FUN with kids!
  • Excellent time management
  • WWCC, Police Check and NDIS Worker Clearance will be required.
  • Current license preferred
