HSS is a growing NDIS provider, looking for a compassionate and experienced NDIS Psychologist to join our team in Werribee.

Our ideal candidate 

You will undertake a person-centred approval to behaviour that is focused on improving quality of life and reducing behaviours of concern. The role will work closely with our Participants, their families, carers and support networks to develop intervention plans and strategies that allow our Participants to live their best life.

This entails a high level of customer service, communication, time management and the ability to prioritise tasks.

  • A degree in psychology, counselling, social science or other related fields
  • Current APS, ACA, AASW registration. 
  • Experience in working with adults with mental health issues. 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver psychological assessments and provide written recommendations.
  • Excellent knowledge of social model of health.
  • A clear understanding of  NDIS service delivery and working as part of a multi disciplinary team.
  • Assessed as Core, Provisional & above by the NDIS commission against the PBS capability framework
  • Ability to conduct functional behaviour assessment and design function-based behaviour support plans
  • Experience using evidence-based interventions/strategies and person-centred approach in managing challenging behaviours
  • Experience in working with people with complex needs including, complex trauma, adults and the elderly with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex and mental health diagnoses
  • Developing plans and reports required for NDIS plans.
  • Victorian Driver’s Licence, access to a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel.
  • Current Working with Children Clearance.
  • NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission- Practitioner ID number.
  • Current Covid-19 Vaccination.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health needs, particularly those covered by the NDIS. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with clients. 
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate client records in accordance with NDIS guidelines.
