JOB DESCRIPTION

Springboard is a free, 18-week program for people experiencing alcohol and other drug (AOD) and co-occurring mental health challenges. The program is delivered over 18 weeks and comprises both individual and group support across the lifespan of a service user’s episode of engagement, from pre-treatment to post-treatment. this is a dynamic role with individual & group work, networking & outreach support.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Co-facilitation of day program to clients with co-occurring mental health and AOD concerns
  • Work part time 4 days per week or 9-day fortnight
  • Provide case management support to program participants developing and revising individual recovery plans, advocacy and referral to other supports
  • Lived-experience highly valued
  • Undertake eligibility screening and readiness support for referred people
  • Facilitate the safe exit of program participants from the program as required

Skills & experience

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification 
  • Technical knowledge & practical work experience in AOD, mental health, social work or related field.
  • Trauma-sensitive and recovery-oriented approach
  • Open Drivers Licence
  • Experience facilitating groups
