JOB DESCRIPTION

Art Therapist

Part-Time – 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week)

The primary role of the headspace Art Therapist is to work within a multidisciplinary team providing early intervention mental health support to young people aged 12-25 years.

This position will provide therapeutic interventions using the visual arts, including drawing, painting, sculpture, sand, play and other materials for mental health, well-being and early intervention to young people with mild to moderate mental health issues. These services will be provided to young people in stages 0-2 in the clinical staging model for early intervention youth mental health services. The role will include care coordination support to young people, facilitation of groups, and community engagement work.

Applications for this position are invited from Art Therapists. Must have current or eligible registration with Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA).

About You: 

  • Current National Police Check & Working with Children’s Check
  • Complete COVID Vaccinations & 2022 Flu Vaccination, Serology evidence of immunisation status
  • Relevant registration as an Art Therapist
