The Opportunity 

Yerin Eleanor Duncan is looking for a suitably qualified Team Leader to lead our Yadhaba AOD Program and Team. The role provides high quality management and leadership to the Yadhaba AOD team so they can meet all required legal and practice standards. This position will provide high quality culturally responsive leadership and management practices that focuses on supporting effective, flexible, high quality client focused and culturally responsive interventions and support to our community. 

Essential Criteria Questions

  1. Please give testimony to your Aboriginal identity and explain your connection to Darkinjung or the community you are from including your thoughts on how this relates to this role. 
  2. Outline your ability in effective leadership, people management, and development skills and demonstrate your capacity to build productive internal and external relationships.
  3. Speak to your experience supervising teams that work with complex clients who have experienced trauma, grief, loss, mental health, Alcohol & other Drugs. 
  4. Outline your communication skills including ability to write reports and experience in liaising effectively with Funding Bodies, General Practitioners, Nurses, Specialists and Allied Health Professionals.
  5. Ability to capture, record and share appropriate clinical information.
  6. Demonstrate your understanding and knowledge of general practice, primary health care and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander health issues within the Australian context.
  7. Please outline your level of computer literacy and give examples of experiences and programs, including reporting systems and data management systems.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Mental Health and/or AOD
  • Leadership experience or transferrable skills with the desire to become a leader
