Position Overview: 

As a Therapeutic Specialist, you will play a vital role in the Intensive Therapeutic Care and Clinical Services teams. You’ll guide and support carers and staff, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and lead reflective practice sessions to enhance therapeutic skills. You will drive the planning and delivery of assessments and treatment of children and young people living in residential care or foster care placements. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and support to carers and staff, enhancing interactions with children.
  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored therapeutic treatment plans.
  • Facilitate reflective sessions, fostering a learning culture and improving team members’ skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, integrating therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide training, maintain records, advocate for individuals’ best interests, and support crisis interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and uphold ethical practices in therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in therapeutic support, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and advocacy skills.
  • Empathy, cultural competence, and ethical practice are essential.
