The Role

Our Family and Child Connect program has an opportunity for a motivated and passionate Senior Family Response Facilitator to join the team. Located in Caboolture this role will be Fixed Term Full-time contract that will start immediately and run until the 30th of June 2024, with the potential to be extended. 

This role is responsible for effective leadership and management support and ensuring quality service delivery to children, young people, families and the community within the Family and Child Connect service.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $47.50 to $49.65 plus superannuation ($93,860 to $98,108 per annum pro rata). You will also have the opportunity to increase your take-home pay by salary sacrificing and other benefits.

To be eligible for this position you will require:

  • Hold a tertiary degree in Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology or relevant discipline.
  • You will have experience in conducting safety and risk assessments, family support and intervention services.
  • Have a sound understanding and knowledge of the Queensland child protection system. 
  • Experience in a leadership role/s, staff mentoring and skill development
  • You will understand Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and societies and the issues which impact upon them in contemporary society together with a commitment to culturally competent engagement and practice. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build an effective team with a culture of high performance
  • Hold a Provisional Green (P2) or Open Driver Licence.
  • A positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and the ability to obtain any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.
  • Evidence of current vaccination against Whooping Cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement, unless applicable exemption provided as per the relevant Mercy Community procedure.
