 The Role:

The Assessment and Reporting Officer provides specialist family and domestic violence assessment and ensures a high quality of reporting within the Connect and Respect program.  Working closely with the coordinator you will oversee the assessment process and the production of quality-controlled documents, collaborating with other team members to ensure the safety of women and children impacted by family and domestic violence and provide support in delivering programs.    

This role will be offered on fixed term full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight until 30 September 2024.

 Selection Criteria

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to develop rapport, be non-judgemental and provide a high level of risk assessment, safety planning, individual and group work, case management to clients across the lifespan.
  • Stakeholder engagement and networking across all organisational levels.
  • Crisis management.
  • De-escalation and conflict resolution.
  • Effectively engage with participants and demonstrate a clear ability to attend to crisis and emotional distress.
  • Advocacy, negotiation, and teamwork.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to engage in reflective practice that takes into account a gendered and feminist analysis of behaviours, thoughts and feelings.
  • Demonstrated high level time management and task management skills, and ability to work under limited direction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to participate effectively in line management and supervision.
  • Experience in the delivery of Family and Domestic Violence Men’s Behaviour change
  • Experience in writing high level reports and preparing supporting documentation
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Office suite of applications or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
  • Unrestricted drivers’ licence
  • Working With Children Check
