An opportunity to join Western Health Mental Health and Wellbeing Team based in Melton.

A part time role available in our newly established HOPE (Hospital Outreach Post-suicidal Engagement) team in the Melton Community Health building. HOPE provides support to individuals post a suicide attempt or to those displaying serious suicide ideation, intent or planning. HOPE supports clients for a period of 12 weeks, providing assertive and coordinated care. This is role where clinicians deliver evidence based psychological interventions to at-risk clients and their families/significant others.

This is a multidisciplinary role and is open to Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychologists.

To be Successful in this Role You

•  Will lead with kindness, role modelling open communication and a desire to support and enhance clinical care across the team

• Contribute effectively to a multidisciplinary team with a genuine commitment to working within a client-centred framework.

• Have knowledge and practice in delivering brief therapeutic interventions

• Have consolidated skills in assessing mental state and risk

• Have an interest and expertise in the area of suicide prevention

• Will be collaborative, responsive and empathic

• Will have the capacity to consult, liaise and negotiate sensitively with clients, their family or carers, treatment teams and community services.
