EACH is the Lead Agency of the Therapeutic Alliance (TA), a new consortium of community based, not-for-profit services who provide services across the North Coast of NSW. The alliance will deliver the Primary Mental Health Program (PMHP) through a multidisciplinary, person centred, hub-and-spoke model of care.
Job Description
- Part-time (0.8FTE) 2-year contract position
- Based at our Byron Bay office

As Senior Clinician your primary role is to act as the primary contact to young people accessing Youth Enhanced Supports (YES) with respect to complex trauma including ADHD presentations.
Duties include:
- Providing clinical support and mentor workers within the local Primary Mental Health Hub.
- Delivering services on an individual and/or in a family setting via outreach to headspace centres, form the office and telehealth.
- Undertaking intake, triage, and holistic clinical assessments, as well as providing a range of evidence-based clinical interventions.
- Promoting the service, communicating regularly with, and building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with stakeholders.
- Participating in and contributing to team meetings, case conferences, and clinical case review meetings as required in a professional and appropriate manner.
Qualifications
As Senior Clinician we are looking for someone who has significant experience in the provision of mental health care, including the completion of mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and interventions to young people experiencing mental health difficulties and/or substance use problems. This experience along with highly developed communication skills, exceptional organisational and time management skills will be essential to the success of this role.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and providing clinical support to other clinical staff.
- Knowledge and understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions and clinical practice as well as demonstrated excellence in practical application of such, in the areas of youth mental health.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders to facilitate clear referral pathways.
- Excellent computer skills with a proficiency in the use of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to work from electronic medical records.
Mandatory Qualification/s, Competencies and/or Licences
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing and/or other relevant discipline.
