  • $95,195 – $102,884 (Band 6) plus Super
  • Full-Time Temporary Position (13 Months)

The Opportunity…

An exciting temporary opportunity exists to act in the Mental Health, Wellbeing & Leadership Development Officer role for 13 months from December 2024 to January 2025. The role sits in the Youth Engagement & Pathway Unit and reports to the Mental Health & Leadership Team Leader.

In This Exciting Opportunity You Will Be Responsible For…

  • Leading the planning and delivering of programs and supports for Broadmeadows and Roxburgh Park Regional Team based out of Youth Central.
  • Managing a small team, driving the activation of the two youth centres, planning and delivering engagement programs, centre budgets and operations, as well as building local stakeholder partnerships.

We are looking for a dynamic, adaptable, and experienced staff member who can continue to manage the regional team and lead the delivery and activation of centres and school based programs in these areas.

Essential Qualifications & Experience Include…

  • Tertiary qualifications in family, youth and /or community services with subsequent relevant experience or other formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience
  • Experience in developing and delivering programs and initiatives for children and young people that respond to identified needs
  • Effective staff leadership with an emphasis on outcomes, quality, continuous improvement, staff development and building a culture of high performance and proven ability to manage, motivate and develop staff and to manage behaviour and positive change in work practice.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage complex and competing priorities
