Job Description
As a mental health professional, you will empower and advocate for participants who have a psychosocial disability or mental health concerns. While utilising a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed perspective, you will:
- Independently assess complex participants’ emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function
- Use clinical observations and standardised assessments and interpret findings to formulate treatment goals.
- Participate in training and receive formal 1:1 supervision
- Engage in monthly peer group supervision with the Newcastle team
- Collaborate with the wider AAA Australia team of OT’s, Physio’s, EP’s, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and BSP’s.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Occupational Therapist
- Experience supporting and providing therapy to individuals with psychosocial disabilities
- An interest in working with people of all ages and abilities
- The ability to work autonomously and remotely while linking in with a larger multi-d team
