Allied Health Officer Lifeline Tasmania

JOB DESCRIPTION

About us

Lifeline has been operating in Tasmania since 1973, commencing as two chapters (Lifeline North West and Lifeline Hobart) which merged in 2012 to form Lifeline Tasmania. Lifeline Tasmania is now a single organisation incorporated in Tasmania, with state-wide reach and community connections. After more than four decades of service to the Tasmanian community, we remain steadfastly committed to our vision of a resilient Tasmania free of suicide.

About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health Officer to join Lifeline Tasmania’s Chats Team. This newly created position will be responsible for:

  • The delivery of early intervention and prevention services to Chats participants that restore, improve or maintain mental health, wellbeing and independence;
  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based clinical assessment and assertive case management service to Chats clients.
  • Maintain documentation in line with organisational and professional requirements including preparation and review of annual client care plans.
  • Deliver allied health services to clients including one-on-one sessions and group programs.
  • Consulting with allied health professionals and external agencies on the development of group programs, and in the care and treatment of clients.
  • Input into monthly social calendar of activities.

This part time position (30hrs p/f) can be based in either the North or North West of the State working out of our Devonport or Launceston offices.

About you

You will have a solid background in the provision of case management and a minimum of two years experience working in a therapeutic role in the aged care sector plus a tertiary qualification in allied health such as social work, psychology, mental health or occupational therapy.
