Stepping Stone Clubhouse is calling all enthusiastic individuals to join our one-of-a-kind team for the Northside as we have multiple positions available.

Established in 1994, we’re not your average organisation. We’re a non-government, non-profit powerhouse dedicated to helping people with a mental illness. We’re not about limits – we’re about possibilities! Accredited by Clubhouse International since 1997, we follow the beat of the International Standards for Clubhouse Programs.

Your Role: 
At Stepping Stone, we don’t do ordinary. We provide a refreshing alternative as we champion personal growth and transformation. Work side by side with peers to help rebuild confidence, skills, and social connections as we establish and develop the new Clubhouse on the Northside of Brisbane in Chermside. *You’ll be required to work on the Southside initially (based in Coorparoo) until we set up our new Northside premises and grow our team.

What You’ll Do: 
🦄 Facilitate programs that embody the Clubhouse International vibe – think creativity, innovation, and community. 
🤝 Work in partnership with members to boost self-esteem, concentration, stamina, and social skills – all while having a blast together. 
🛠️ Craft engaging work opportunities that light up our unit. 
🎯 Help members define their goals and offer support in snagging jobs, education, housing, and more. 
🌍 Reach out to members through phone, email, visits – wherever they are, you’ll be there. 
🎤 Deliver presentations to the community, spreading the word about mental health and our Clubhouse model. 
🌟 Be part of after hours social recreational opportunities on evenings, weekends and public holidays.  Required on average once a month.  

 

The Perks: 
💰 Competitive salary under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) at a level 3.1, with superannuation and salary sacrifice options. The position is initially a 12-month contract with intention to extend.

🧘🏽‍♂️ Wellbeing initiatives and the opportunity to accrue TOIL (Time off in Lieu) while you lead and/or participate in lunchtime daily activities such as walking, swimming and mediation.

 

What You Bring: 
🎓 Formal qualifications are desirable but not a must have. 
🤗 Demonstrated experience providing mental health support and lived experience is a strength! 
🚗 A valid C-Class Driver’s License for those Queensland adventures. 
🗣️ Rock-solid communication and organisation skills.
