The role you could play
We are seeking a dedicated Alcohol and Other Drugs Intake Coordinator! You will provide an entry point to AOD services for those in need of holistic treatment pathways. Additionally, you will liaise and provide support through interventions to assist in improving the well-being of clients.

Duties

  • Referrals facilitated to specialist support services such as housing and mental health support agencies
  • Assist with assessments and service delivery
  • Crisis response plans reflect intervention/risk management support including requests to seek information within MARAM
  • Bridging and brief intervention support provided to clients awaiting assessment and treatment commencement
  • Allocate Counselling, Care and Recovery Coordination for clients if required

​This is a fixed-term full-time position, for 12 months from start date, based in Loddon Mallee region in VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 5 Award.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline
  • Minimum qualification Diploma Community Services
  • Relevant experience in a social service environment
  • AOD skillset or willingness to undertake within the first 12 months
  • Completion of Forensic Fundamentals or obtain within first 3 months
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PDF
  • Family Violence foundational, information sharing scheme and brief/intermediate risk assessment training within the first 12 months
  • A current Victoria Driver’s Licence
  • A valid Working with Children’s Check
