ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Child and Family Counsellor across regional Victoria who can deliver compassionate and dependable mental health and wellbeing support, for the child and family by applying a client centred, therapeutic and whole of family approach. Working as part of a dynamic team of mental health and counselling professionals, we are seeking clinicians who excel at building rapport with our clients and increasing their confidence to overcome their presenting challenges; ranging from anxiety and depression, to cognitive and emotional issues.

The child and Family Counsellor will provide intake, assessment and therapeutic interventions to a designated case load. As well as provide a skilled counselling response with the focus on brief counselling from single session through to approximately 6 sessions. A psychologist may provide psychological assessment through the administration of standardized tests, if required by individual clients and/or family /groups.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a Counsellor to join our growing counselling and wellbeing team, this is a great opportunity to work with school age children and their families You will have a relevant qualification and experience as well as have: 

  • previous experience in mental health and /or working with children highly desirable 
  • an ability to work effectively and independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills.

REMUNERATION

Victorian Community Health Sector (Audiologists Dietitians Pharmacists and Psychologists) Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021

Classification Provisional Psychologist Grade 1

or 

Community Health Centre (Stand Alone Services) Social and Community Service Employees Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022

Classification SACS Employee Level 4
