About the role

Grampians Health is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Social Worker for the role of Grade 2 Counsellor/Advocate at the Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault.

Primary clinical responsibilities include counselling, advocacy support to people who have experienced sexual assault and their family members; participation in the after-hours roster; as well as support to children and young people exhibiting harmful sexual behaviours under teh age of 18 years. Sound knowledge and experience in undertaking psychosocial assessments, well developed communication skills and the ability to work well in the pursuit of client and team needs and goals are required.  Experience in working in community and healthcare settings with an emphasis on sexual assault and family violence would be a highly regarded attribute.
