Counsellor | Domestic and Family Violence Support Worker
- Weipa based |Immediate start
- Temporary position up until Dec 21st.
- Flights and accommodation provided
- Blue Card and Qld Drivers License required
- Work vehicle available for use
- Police clearance preferable or ability to obtain.
The Client
Our client is a Community Centre providing support and programs including crisis accommodation.
The Opportunity
The focus for this short term role is responding to referrals and connecting to and providing initial support and counselling.
About You
- Qualifications / extensive experience in Counselling required.
- Good knowledge of administrative duties and familiarity with computerisd client records and information systems.
- Skills in engaging with clients and ability to buld effective relationships
- Cultural sensitivity and experience
- Available to travel immediately
