  • Full-time contract to September 2024, with the potential of extension.
  • Located in Sydney (2000) with flexible/hybrid work arrangements on offer.
  • Competitive Remuneration of SCHADS Level 5, $92,625 (5.1) + superannuation + NFP salary packaging.

They are an organisation driven to provide high-quality digital mental health services including counselling, peer support, online forums, and art programs to support those with complex needs.
  
About the role:
The Service Lead is an exciting and newly created role working within the Service Delivery Team to provide leadership and support to a multidisciplinary team. The role’s main priority is ensuring best practice approaches are used when supporting people with complex mental health issues.
  
Role responsibilities:
The role will see you working collaboratively with and managing a proactive team across the organisations Forums and Groups, Guided Services and Drop-In Programs. You will also be involved in:

  • Providing managerial support and guidance to a team of Counsellors, Peer Support Workers, and Mental Health Support Workers.
  • Providing ongoing mentorship and support on performance as well as best practice approaches for risk management in complex mental health.
  • Overseeing the daily operations of support services, including telephone calls, online chat, and email enquiries.
  • Providing direct clinical support one day a week, working directly with frontline staff members and working through escalation, rostering and service improvement.
  • Leading team meetings, one-on-one supervision, reviewing intake and referrals and assessing work allocation.
  • Working three evening shifts (12-8pm) per week.

Essential Requirements:
To succeed in the role, you will be a natural communicator with a flair for relationship-building. You will also have:

  • A high level of knowledge and understanding of the needs of clients with complex mental health issues, including best practice, quality and risk management.
  • Prior experience in a similar role and a tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, counselling, or relevant field. Experience in the Not-for-Profit space would be highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team to successful outcomes, whilst providing support and supervision
  • Eligibility for membership with, or working towards full or provisional registration with an appropriate professional body (AASW, AHPRA, PACFA, ACA).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Confidence using technology and working within a digital environment. Salesforce experience is highly desirable
  • A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and a current National Police Check, or willingness to complete.
