FPRR Practitioner MacKillop Family Services

JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role:

The FPR Practitioner will provide outreach wraparound services to families where children’s ages range from unborn to adolescents. Working flexibly, as part of the team they will report to the Family Services Coordinator. The model is an integrated and evidence-based/evidence-informed approach to supporting and problem solving with families and preventing children and young people’s re/entry to out of home care.

This is a Part Time Fixed Term (30.4 hours per week 0.8EFT Until 30/6/2024) opportunity based in Wodonga, VIC within our Family Preservation and Reunification Response program. The position reports to the Family Services Coordinator.

 

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated and extensive experience and skills in assessment and clinical interventions and family centred practice with vulnerable children, young people and families with complex needs
  • Sound knowledge of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and policies relating to child welfare and the Best Interests of the Child Practice Model.
  • Highly developed skills in assessing risks, needs and safety for vulnerable children, young people and families.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, written, verbal and computer skills.

You must have a:

  • Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
