  • Social Worker – Christies Beach
  • Salary – $86,950 to $100,729 pro-rata – Part Time – Short Term – Up To 30 Jun 2024 – AHP2

Overview

The Women’s & Children’s Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia.  We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being South Australia’s largest maternity and obstetric service, and statewide Maternal Fetal Medicine service. 

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists within Metropolitan Youth Health (MYH) to join us as a Social Worker (AHP2).

In this role, you will:

  • Engagement of young people who are disadvantaged and/or vulnerable to access and navigate through specialised primary health care services
  • Development and delivery of quality outcomes for clients through the provision of youth health care services within a case management framework
  • Provision of quality supervision and professional development to team members

Project work may be a part of this role.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training and development programs
  • Planning, facilitation, evaluation and delivery of group based projects for young people who present with complex issues
  • Provision of a high standard of assessment, case planning and health care services within a case management approach to young people with complex needs
