About the team:

HopeStreet – Inner City is committed to putting faith into action by providing compassionate care to marginalised inner-city residents.

Our Clinical Team works with people who are experiencing marginalisation in Woolloomooloo and surrounding suburbs, with a focus on women’s services and towards people living in social housing or sleeping rough.

Our team works together to create trusted places where people gather, community is strong and lives are transformed. We walk with each person to understand the unique circumstances of their life and we empower them to live well through practical and reliable support.

About the role:

As Pathways Team Leader you will:

  • Provide team leadership to the Clinical Team who is responsible for case management, counselling and group work delivery, supporting the team to provide integrated, holistic wrap around support, to work alongside vulnerable/marginalized communities
  • Hub oversight of a multidisciplinary team, including students, and volunteers
  • Demonstrate, promote, and support BaptistCare’s values, guided by our theories and principles of best practice

The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree or Diploma in Community Services, Counselling, Social Work or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years working in a Counselling &/or community-based Case Worker role
  • Mental Health First Aid accreditation, Trauma Informed Care training (or willingness to participate in training)
  • Child Protection training / knowledge / experience
  • Ability to work within an integrated approach that is person centred and includes strengths base, narrative
  • Experience working with women from CALD backgrounds (sex workers, DV, LGBT+ communities) or individuals who may be experiencing complex concerns
  • Ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and enthusiastically promote the organisation’s values through every interaction at work.
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
