About the Company
The Rural Doctors Workforce Agency (RDWA) is a not-for-profit NGO supported by SA Health Department for Health and Wellbeing and the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. For over 25 years, RDWA has been strengthening healthcare access across rural SA through a broad range of programs and supports to the rural workforce The Outreach Programs provide a workforce of 150 medical specialists, nurses and allied health providers who visit rural and remote communities in SA to provide over 30,000 patient services each year.
About the Role
As the Outreach Services Coordinator, you will establish successful working relationships with relevant local stakeholders, working collaboratively with providers, local host practices and organisations in achieving the delivery of the RDWA’s Outreach services. You will support the Manager Outreach Programs in achieving the program aims and objectives for the full suite of Outreach programs.
Duties
- Work with the outreach providers and host services to coordinate and arrange for delivery of planned services
- Engage with local health providers to integrate outreach services into local health services
- Support local health services with strategies to improve coordination of outreach clinics
- Assist with coordination of referral pathways for access to specialist services
- Obtain feedback from local health services about up-skilling opportunities to enhance local capability
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records within the CRM
- Receive and process reports and investigate variations to enable resolution
- Contribute to program reporting requirements
Skills & Experience
- Valid Australian driver’s license and DHS WWCC and VPRE
- Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and the Australian health system
- Full MS suite capabilities and administrative capabilities
- Health sector, rural community or education industry exposure will be highly regarded as will tertiary qualifications in business, health, social sciences or related fields
