Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best fit Youth Workers to Youth and Family Service Organisations across Australia.
  
Overview of the role:

  • Support children in family-based placements with education, medical appointments, family contact, social and cultural connections, positive living skills, community inclusion and family relationships.
  • Assist with transportation to school, appointments, community access as well as in-home support.
  • Respond to the young person’s emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
  • Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.
  • Provide a safe, home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
  • Assist with administrative requirements and household duties.
  • Supporting children aged from 5 to 13 years old 

Shift times:

  • Shift times are based around the children attending school.
  • Hours will be extended during school holidays.
  • Weekday shifts: 7am to 10am & 3pm to 9pm.
  • Weekend shifts: 7am to 3pm & 3pm to 9pm

What you need:

  • Certificate IV in Community Services or relevant 
  • Australian driver’s license
  • First Aid Certificate with current CPR
  • Working with Children Check (paid employee status)
  • Have a reliable car with registration.
  • Reliable smart phone with data
  • Previous experience supporting children and families with complex needs.
  • Experience supporting Youth with disabilities

What we can offer you:

  • $48.00 per hour base, plus penalties. Weekly paid 
  • Casual position with regular consistent hours, crafted around your individual availability.
  • Empowered by a dedicated Service Delivery Team providing you support, coaching and guidance.
  • Bi-monthly supervisions and support.
  • Easy-to-use rostering app which allows you to view and accept shifts, complete reports/documents and update your availability.
  • Refer & earn incentive – $300 voucher for each successful person you refer.
