Hospital Medical Officer – Mental Health
Classification: PGY2 or above
Salary: as per Doctors In Training Enterprise Agreement
Hours: 76 per fortnight
Status: Full Time Fixed Term (12 months) commencing 05/02/2024

Opportunity available:
Our Hospital Medical Officer positions for 2024 offer a practical, hands on approach to junior doctor training. Exposure to a large and varied patient base is achieved as the health service operates as the referral and trauma centre for the entire region which extends from Woodend to southern NSW. We operate a health service with 372 inpatient beds, 72 same day beds, 11 operating theatres, a regional cancer centre, an 80 bed integrated mental health facility, and a mother and baby unit. We offer a general, surgical, critical care and a medical basic physician trainee stream.
The Mental Health HMO position has been designed to deliver career pathways for HMO’s who want to develop skills in mental health for entry into college training. This Mental Health HMO position includes a combination of rotations in the Inpatient Mental Health Units, Community Units and Mental Health services at other health services.
