What you’ll do
You’ll provide high quality family therapy to young people (aged 10 – 21) and their families to enhance, repair and strengthen family relationships. You’ll use a Family Systems Framework in your work to address a range of issues including relationship difficulties, conflict, family upheavals due to separation and divorce, loss or trauma, addiction, self-harm, suicide ideation and other mental health presentations.

- 4 or 5 days per week
- Based in Parramatta
- Approx $46-$47 per hour + super + salary packaging benefits
What you’ll bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or equivalent
- Post-grad qualifications or training in Counselling or Couple and Family Therapy
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in family therapy or counselling young people and/or families. This could include working in a mental health service
- Strong understanding of matters impacting young people like social media, technology, family dynamics, domestic and family violence, child safety, abuse, addiction, mental health and wellbeing
- A calm, professional and compassionate approach when engaging with clients
