We at Talent Quarter are seeking professional Mental Health Clinicians for 13 week contract in the Murrumbidgee region.

On Offer

  • Fixed Term Contract (up to 13 weeks) for an Adult mental health clinician based in Deniliquin Community
  • Hours Mon-Fri – 8.30am- 5pm
  • Pay rate $68.70-$70.92 P/h + Accommodation + Superannuation contribution

Requirements to be successful

  • Hold a territory degree in one of the following; Psychology, social work, counselling
  • Must hold professional registration (AHPRA, AASW)
  • Have experience as an Adult Mental health clinician
  • Have had all Class A vaccinations
  • Hold a full drivers license
  • WWCC & Police check (within past 3 months)

Duties of the role

  • Carry out the provision of assessments, Provide evidence based treatments and case managements to adults with Psychological disorders and psychiatric illnesses
  • Work with a Multidisciplinary community health team
  • Participates in a collaborative care models, communicating effectively with patients/ clients/ carers and other health care team members/colleagues.
  • Ensure that clients maintain appropriate status according to the NSW Mental Health Act and that the requirements of the Act are continuously met (including all aspects of applying for and monitoring
  • CTOs/CCOs and participating in Mental Health Review Tribunal hearings).
  • Provide high quality consumer-centred and family inclusive care in accordance with relevant legislation,
  • National Mental Health Standards, organisational policies and procedures and professional standards of
  • practice.
  • Provide appropriate education, health promotion and prevention for consumers, carers, families,
  • students, colleagues and other interested groups or individuals to enhance understanding and knowledge
  • about mental health.
  • To model and participate in the organisation’s commitment to consumers and carers to ensure effective
  • consumer and carer participation in individual case assessment, planning and service delivery.
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills related to professional mental health practice through participation
  • in regular clinical supervision, attendance at relevant education and training as agreed in annual PDRs
  • and participation in agreed profession specific forums.
  • Accurate collation and timely completion of health care information in relevant health care record
  • systems, to ensure necessary information is available to meet legal requirements and guide ongoing care
