Position Classification: Counsellor/Social Worker Lvl 1 or 2; Psychologist 
Remuneration: $56,871 – $105,895 per annum (dependent on qualifications)
Hours Per Week: 38hrs

The alcohol and other drug specialist clinician will be working to minimise the harmful effects of substance use on people, by providing and maintaining a high standard of individualised client care through the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Service for patients accessing the service.
 

If you have:
 

  • Knowledge and experience of a variety of evidence-based therapeutic counselling approaches in the AOD field applicable to people presenting with complex needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to apply Trauma Informed Care and harm minimisation principles in the care of people with AOD issues
  • Clinical experience in the assessment of AOD issues, implementing counselling approaches, referral, group work and brief interventions
  • Experience in working in partnership with government services, non-government agencies and the broader community groups
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt work practices to suit circumstances in a diverse range of outpatient and/or outreach settings
