Grade 4 Grampians Mental Health & Wellbeing Service (GMHWS) Bed-based Services
Full time
80 hours per fortnight with a monthly ADO

Up to $20,000 incentive payments may be available to support relocation
(Be reimbursed for rent, childcare, school fees, relocation costs and more). The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill.
The new workforce relocation and incentive grants program is being administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).

About the role

Applications are welcome from suitably qualified and experienced Social Workers, Occupational Therapists or Psychologists (Clinical, Neuropsychology or Forensic) to join GMHWS as an Allied Health and Lived and Living Experience Team Leader for AH and LLEW staff in bed-based units.  The Allied Health and Lived and Living Experience Team Leader is the pivotal link between the senior leadership team, community teams, and AH and LLEW team members in bed-based service, they will plan and develop AH services within bed-based services, they will coordinate daily operational requirements of the team within their area of responsibility, and will ensure that the service provides a high quality, accessible, and  recovery-oriented treatment, and care, to people and their families that are evidence-based and best practice to enhance the person’s recovery from mental ill health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and co-ordinate daily operational requirements of the AH & LLEW bed-based team within their area of responsibility
  • Provide operational leadership and motivate the teams in the provision of bed-based care
  • Participate in clinical governance processes which underpin the delivery of high-quality bed-based services including driving clinical and operational processes, supervision and problem solving
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders including Community Teams, internal and external service providers
