Allied Health Assistant Rehabilitation Services by Altius

JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Allied Health Assistant in the Rehabilitation Services team at Altius Group, you will provide direct support to our Rehabilitation Counsellors and Provisional Psychologist who address the critical physical, psychological, social, environmental and organisational risk factors which may have an impact on a worker’s ability to successfully return to work. Altius Group delivers services to individuals nationally across Australia, where you’ll be based out of our Orange, NSW branch. Navigating complex nature of injuries, individuals, work and home environments, relationships, and personal injury schemes – is what we do best!

The role you will be doing…

  • Work alongside practitioner and workers who have sustained an injury or illness in the workforce
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the rehab needs of individual.
  • Supporting return to work planning for occ-rehab claims, certificates of capacity and approvals for services
  • Assist with developing detailed written reports that support workers’ goals and outcomes
  • Maintain up to date information, data and documents for all workers’
  • Collaborate and liaise with medical practitioners and allied health professionals

This role will suit a current 3rd or 4th year Psychology student and is passionate about working in occupational rehabilitation industry.
   
To be considered, you are…

  • Currently undertaking (or commencing in 2023) a honours degree in Psychology
  • Willing to obtain a National Police Check
  • Willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
  • A current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
