About the role
The Allied Health service offers a targeted range of specialist supports and clinical services that maximise recovery outcomes for clients with severe and complex mental ill health and dual disabilities. Operating the in the context of community, the focus is to support people to achieve their better life goals which reflect Mind’s Model of Recovery Orientated Practice. Clients are provided clinical assessments and specialist therapies, group education and learning, mentoring and coaching, education and vocational support, housing and linkage services, counselling, NDIS planning and access supports.
We are seeking a self-motivated, compassionate Allied Health Clinician for a permanent, full or part time opportunity to work across the Melbourne metropolitan area. Working remotely, you will utilise your expertise in delivering meaningful evidence-based, time limited psychological therapies within a stepped care framework responsive to the needs of clients experiencing mental health challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Provide flexible therapeutic support services to clients including assessment, diagnosis, brief clinical intervention, treatment planning and evaluation, and education in line with professional and National Standards.
- Complete mental health assessments, both functional and sensory, and provide therapies adapted to meet unique and individual needs.
- Demonstrate clinical leadership providing clients with care coordination and advocacy to meet specific requirements.
- Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a co-ordinated and integrated response to the client’s recovery goals.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary degree qualifications in Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or other health related field and hold current registration with AHPRA, AASW or Mental Health accreditation.
- Expertise in working with clients with mental health issues, complex needs and interacting with families and carers.
- Ability to plan, implement and prioritise to meet customer service delivery requirements.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Community Services sector and ability to build strong relationships with service providers, clinical teams and key stakeholders.
