This position will lead clinical service innovation within the specialist transdisciplinary child development assessment team as well as support across other health disciplines and community services tailoring to the cultural and geographical diversity of the region . It will also be responsible for ensuring team collaboration and integration with existing generalist allied health teams to ensure sustainable service delivery through the provision of specialist skill sharing, education, work shadowing and peer supervision.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated application of advance level of knowledge and specialist developmental assessment skills across a range of developmental domains relevant to own profession and within a transdisciplinary framework, using complex problem solving for direct patient care in rural or remote context.
- Advanced leadership skills that guide and foster teamwork in the multidisciplinary setting to enable the delivery of high-quality patient focussed care, and compliance with organisation and accreditation requirements.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in gathering, analysing and reporting information from a variety of sources, including the ability to produce clearly written documents and reports.

Requirements for the role:
- Appointment to this position requires proof of health practitioner professional qualifications in a relevant allied health profession from a recognised institution with registration with AHPRA as appropriate, including any necessary endorsements where applicable, or eligibility for membership with the appropriate association.
- Travel across the TCHHS will be a requirement of this position in commercial and/or light aircraft and 4WD vehicles.
- It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19 (Health Employment Directive No. 12/21 and Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70).
