Ideally positioned opposite Robina Public Hospital, Robina Private Hospital is the first and only private hospital to locate within the Robina Health Precinct and within close proximity to the precinct’s existing, extensive public services. Robina Private Hospital is a 90 bed private hospital with three specialist mental health and rehabilitation wards along with consultancy, outpatient, mental health and day rehabilitation programs and day surgery services. 

The role

A fantastic opportunity exists for a Psychologist to cover a 6 month maternity leave contract as Allied Health Manager. As Allied Health Manager (Mental Health) you will be responsible for the daily management of the inpatient and day patient programs, business development and service growth, and managing a team of Allied Health Professionals. Your performance will be measured by your ability to manage staff, program supervision, managing daily and weekly KPI’s and business development activities. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To direct and manage the allied health staff in accordance with Aurora Healthcare Strategic Directions and Operational Plans
  • To assist in the development and implementation of strategies to promote and support effective allied health services 
  • Contribute to the initiation of strategies and provision of leadership to ensure customer-focused approach to clinical services
  • Lead and manage the team to generate a high performing culture 
  • Support and promote continuous performance improvement activities through audit and research projects.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualification in Psychology and registration of APHRA
  • Experience as a team lead in a health care or hospital setting
  • Ability to prioritise workload and respond effectively to competing demands
  • Ability to develop, evaluate, and present business strategies including business development and promotion of the services in the community 
  • High competency in Microsoft Office suite 

 

This is permanent part-time role focussed on deliver evidence-based, high quality, and compassionate support to our patients. This role will suit someone who is passionate about mental health, excel in communication, are driven to improve and grow quality services. 

 Requirements: Everyone who joins Robina Private Hospital:

  • Must be vaccinated against Covid-19 a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 3 months of commencement date
  • According to the role, may be required to provide a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
