Our Service:

Stride Kids provide a safe place and offer support and services to children aged 0-11 years and their families & carers, focused on improving mental health and social & emotional wellbeing.

  • We have 3 programs for mild to moderate presentations
  • We also have a therapy dog on site

All aspects of the service are aimed at increasing secure parent-child attachments, strengthening parenting skills and knowledge of child development (cognitive, social and emotional) and strategies to enhance wellbeing.

About the opportunities:

We are seeking passionate and experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Workers, and Clinical and General Psychologists, to join our multidisciplinary team supporting people living with mental ill-health, and their families. 

  • Located in the centre of Ipswich – our service offers a range of well-designed and modern therapeutic spaces with natural light
  • You will provide high standard assessments and evidence based therapeutic interventions (individual and group)
  • Contribute to innovative service delivery to improve the lives of those experiencing mental health concerns
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate quality care planning for clients
  • Conduct Mental Health Care Plan Reviews (5th session) of clients provided to referring GP.
  • Your income will be derived directly from Medicare Billings so you will need to be eligible to provide services under the Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS – Better Access).

Requirements:

  • Must possess tertiary level education in Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Social Work and be registered with APHRA (general registration) or AASW (accredited mental health)
  • Relevant experience working with clients with mental health issues
  • Eligibility to provide services under the Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS – Better Access). 
  • Be comfortable utilising telehealth services as a mode of service delivery
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
