JOB DESCRIPTION

The role:

As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Social Worker will:

  • Undertake the delivery of quality care to clients of the ACMHS – North West catchment area, based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary framework. 
  • Provide a specialist assessment and treatment service to clients of ACMHS and their families or carers. 
  • Promote community awareness in relation to mental health and act as a consultant to other agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with mental health needs.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $101,108 to $119,430 per annum + 11% superannuation

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $111,964 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Degree in Social Work giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers

  2. Current Driver’s Licence

    *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

Position features:

  • Employees should refer to the advertised position for details of hours of work (shift work or day work) and total hours per fortnight required.
  • Employees employed in this job may be required to participate in an on-call roster.
  • Employees may be required to work at various locations within the advertised region
