About us

CEQ is a Disability Service for Babies, Children and Young adults with neurological disability, including Cerebral Palsy. It is dedicated to providing quality Conductive Education programs that are engaging and focussed on participant goals. The CEQ Professional Team is a transdisciplinary one including Conductors (professionals in Conductive Education), Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Exercise Physiologists and Special Educators. CEQ provides Centre Based programs in Acacia Ridge, Chermside and Carina. CEQ is a flexible employer – open to a variety of options of casual and permanent employment, full or part time. Qualifications & experience

  • Qualified Physiotherapist, Speech or Occupational Therapist
  • Qualified Exercise Physiologist
  • Qualified Conductor (professional of Conductive Education)
  • Qualified Teacher with an interest in this area
  • Experience is not essential
  • Knowledge of Conductive Education is an advantage but not essential

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Working in a transdisciplinary team with other therapists, professionals and assistants to plan and implement group programs for children and adults with neurological disability including Cerebral Palsy.
  • Working and leading hands on with children and young adults in an engaging group program using Conductive Education philosophy.
  • Assisting and supporting Young Adults and Children with disabilities in a holistic manner – personal care, meal times, physical, social, emotional and communicative development. 
  • Assisting people with disabilities and families to access required supports and equipment.
  • Writing NDIS reports for plan reviews and AT reports for equipment applications – support and assistance available within the transdisciplinary team.
  • Mentoring is available for new graduates within the CEQ Team and is supported from other sources if desired.
