The Opportunity
This role will suit a person who is passionate about mental health, excels in communication, is driven to improve and grow quality services.
Most importantly, we are seeking people who can deliver evidence-based, high quality, and compassionate support to our patients.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will be a strong team player with outstanding communication skills and have the ability to work within a team and unsupervised if needed. You will also be a proactive professional with the capability to multitask and effectively manage your time throughout the workday.
Selection Criteria:
- Qualification in an Allied Health field (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Occupational Theapy)
- Willingness to undertake a broad range of direct and indirect clinical tasks
- Willingness to actively participate in the Quality Program of the facility
- Ability to prioritise workload and respond effectively to competing demands.
- Competency in navigating Microsoft Office suite and computer literacy.
- Ability to build and maintain successful professional relationships.
- Ability to provide care to meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse clients.
Why Abbotsford Private Hospital?
We are a standalone mental health facility and provide specialist services for patients aged 18 and over (young adult unit and day programs scheduled to commence in October 2022).
The recent expansion will provide a total of 57 beds with a further 20 beds being available in 2023.
Separate therapy rooms and spaces inclusive of art rooms and gymnasium have been purpose built to support inpatient and day patient therapy programs.
The hospital is owned and operated by Aurora Health Care, a specialist operator of private mental health hospitals and rehabilitation hospitals throughout Australia.

Requirements
Everyone who joins Abbotsford Private
- Must be vaccinated against Covid-19 a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 3 months of commencement date
- According to the role, may be required to provide a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
