Abbotsford Private Hospital is one of our premier private hospitals located in West Leederville, close to the CBD of Perth, Western Australia. Our private hospital is known nationally for its high-quality dual-diagnosis mental health and addictions specialisation and is expanding services to 77 beds in 2023. Separate therapy rooms and spaces inclusive of art rooms and gymnasium have been purpose built to support inpatient and day patient therapy programs.
The role
A fantastic opportunity exists for a Psychologist to join us as our Allied Health Manager as we transition into our 77 bed facility. As Allied Health Manager you will be responsible for the daily management of the inpatient and day patient programs, business development and service growth, and managing a small team of Allied Health Professionals. Your performance will be measured by your ability to manage staff, program supervision, managing daily and weekly KPI’s and business development activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To direct and manage the allied health staff in accordance with Aurora Healthcare Strategic Directions and Operational Plans
- To assist in the development and implementation of strategies to promote and support effective allied health services
- Contribute to the initiation of strategies and provision of leadership to ensure customer-focused approach to clinical services
- Lead and manage the team to generate a high performing culture
- Support and promote continuous performance improvement activities through audit and research projects.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualification in Psychology and registration of APHRA
- Experience in leading an Allied Health team in a health care or hospital setting
- Ability to prioritise workload and respond effectively to competing demands
- Ability to develop, evaluate, and present business strategies including business development and promotion of the services in the community
- High competency in Microsoft Office suite

- Must be vaccinated against Covid-19 a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 3 months of commencement date
- According to the role, may be required to provide a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
