Contributing to Alcohol and Other Drugs program development and implementation based on healthy living and management of serious health issues.
To work collaboratively with the other SEWB staff and Youth Support Workers to promote the wellbeing of clients and actively participate in team activities to promote recovery for clients.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
Provide services within a Case Management Framework.
Demonstrate knowledge of current policies, legislation, program and practices in relation to the program, and demonstrated skills in computer systems and technology relevant to
the position.
Demonstrated experience in assessment skills including the capacity to apply a range of interventions strategies that have an evidenced based approach.
Develop and maintain local networks to provide formalised referral pathways for clients.
Communicate, consult, liaise and negotiate with a broad range of people both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to achieve objectives and goals.
Liaise with and establish networks with community groups and community service organisations.
Negotiates effectively to develop and implement solutions for clients and advocacy.
Demonstrated skills in counselling one on one and group presentations.
Provide appropriate client focused therapeutic interventions.
Uses knowledge and experience to plan and monitor own performance.
Participation in the monitoring and evaluation of programs in terms of relevance, timelines, cost and client satisfaction.
Qualification/s:
Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs /Wiliness to complete Diploma of Community
services AOD/Mental Health within first two years of accepting the position
