AOD Caseworker / Counsellor Be Recruitment Company

JOB DESCRIPTION

Be. Recruitment is currently seeking a Caseworker or Counsellor for a specialist AOD Service on the Central Coast close to Tuggerah. This fantastic opportunity will deliver person-centred, strength-based support to clients that are experiencing alcohol and drug abuse. This is a full-time position for a 3-month temporary contract working in an AOD 3-month program, this role could potentially be made permanent. Previous experience in delivering therapeutic groups and working with clients with complex mental health, AOD and trauma are mandatory to succeed in this rewarding role.

Duties:

  • Support clients through specialised and comprehensive case management that are experiencing AOD
  • Therapeutic experience delivering interventions such as CBT, mindfulness and ACT in an individual and group setting
  • Build key working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage crises effectively and provide specialist expertise in complex case management and counselling
  • Demonstrated understanding of the using strengths-based and trauma-informed case management approach
  • Manage a caseload and work collaboratively in a team

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Casework or Counsellor role specialising in AOD, mental health or similar
  • Degree or diploma qualification in Social Work or similar 
  • Current NSW driver’s license is essential
  • NSW Working With Children Check
  • Vaccination for COVID-19
