About the role
This position sits within the AOD and Homelessness Cluster.
The AOD and Homelessness Cluster aims to improve the health, wellbeing, housing, and social outcomes of people who use alcohol and other drugs and/or those experiencing homelessness in the Inner Northwest of Melbourne. The Cluster delivers a human rights approach to health care which is consumer directed, holistic, recovery and strengths based.
This role would deliver high quality counselling interventions for individuals, families and groups having issues related to drug use in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibility Areas
- Make follow up contact with clients at 3- and 12-months post treatment to track progress and support re-engagement with AOD treatment services
- Provide crisis intervention management for complex client
- Work flexibly to meet people’s varying needs, including on an outreach basis as appropriate
- Complete AOD Comprehensive Assessments to determine the clinical components of the treatment required
- Commitment to the values and objectives and values of cohealth
Position Requirements
- Have an undergraduate or post graduate qualification as a health service or community services professional and a post graduate management qualification
- Have a high tolerance for ambiguity, and ability to be resilient in unpredictable operating environments
- Possess service design and redesign skills
- Have a well-balanced combination of leadership and management capability
- Be aware of contemporary client-centred and client-directed models of care and case management
