About TaskForce
Since 1973, TaskForce has provided specialist support for people in serious need in Victoria. About the position
TaskForce now has an exciting opportunity for an AOD Counsellor to join our client centred team in Frankston. The focus of this position is to reduce AOD related harms to forensic and voluntary clients and their families by conducting assessments, coordinating care and recovery treatment plans and providing a range of counselling interventions to assist clients and their family members. The role requires a strong therapeutic focus – with an understanding of the benefits of harm minimisation.

You will be an experienced AOD Clinician who has previously worked with mandated clients. You will have experience in the provision of assessment and counselling services to forensic AOD clients and knowledge of harm minimisation, client-centered care and recovery-focused principles. You will be skilled in case management and the use of evidence based therapeutic techniques. Ideally you will also have experience running therapeutic groups.
You will have a passion for working with people suffering from substance abuse and the ability to build strong rapport with your clients. Ideally you will have qualifications in psychology, counselling, health or welfare, social work or nursing and be equipped with a Certificate IV in AOD (or equivalent AOD competencies).
