AOD Peer Support Worker x Part Time (0.6FTE) – Port Pirie

About the role:
This is a unique role, where the Peer Worker shares their lived experience to facilitate hope in others in their addiction recovery journey. You will build relationships with clients and assist them to achieve better health outcomes and lifestyle choices.
You will:
- Provide support to individuals to work towards their recovery goals
- Connect individuals to other AOD team members for therapeutic and/or case management as required.
Qualifications:
- Lived experience in the recovery of an addiction with:
- 12 months sobriety
- Previous history working in similar role desirable.
- Certificate IV in AOD or willingness to work towards will be an added advantage.
- SMART Training (Desirable)
- National Police Check, Department of Human Services Child-Related and NDIS Worker Check Employment Screenings
